Love/Hate Messages for 2010. Inspired by a Friend

As inspired by my friend's FB note, I am sending out messages to people who greatly influenced my 2010. I shall not name them in the messages below.

As per rules:
- In no order of preference
- No repetition
- The writer (I) has an option to eventually reveal who the messages are for after several months or leave you guessing forever...

"Cryptic Messages"

  1. To a Group of People: If there is one thing constant in my life, it is that you will always be there for me... I know that despite what the first reactions will be to any unexpected situations, the end result is your acceptance and that you will still be proud of me. I want to be 90% (some things are best kept to yourself i.e. sex life) honest to you but we weren't bred to be that honest. Still, I'd like us to share some things that is so difficult to open up with. In 2011, maybe things will change, let''s see... But one thing I know for certain is I love you and you'll still love me.
  2. To a special someone: I never found the need to tell you this because it is so obvious you are teased about it but in a crowd of performers, you're the only face I seek. Despite the loud applause for the leads, your voice is the only thing I constant aim to hear. I love taking care of you and being cared for by you. May this year bring you expertise to the craft you wanted to pursue... Just be assured that no matter what challenges you shall face, I shall be behind you to support in all the way you seek and all the way I know you need.
  3. To a number of influential people: Your teachings and motivations advices had inspired me to see that I have infinite potential and I can achieve my dreams. For 2011, I plan to reward you by my success and give back to your advocacies! To a prosperous Philippines!
  4. To a person who shall never have the connection to read this: I am happy you left. I thought I needed your guidance but it turns out your job was so easy that I could do it all along and you are nothing but a hindrance to finishing the job in lesser time. Nonetheless, I thank you that because of your incompetence, they turned to my unrecognized potential. More power to you but I prefer not to see you again.
  5. To one, two or more people who share an interest: It is really fun hanging out with you. Belonging to a group is a special feeling you brought me and I am grateful for that. Thanks for sharing tidbits and even reciting trivias that only a number of people could do. Thanks for late night gatherings that left me with new experiences and fun facts about each other... To 2011, your success and more gatherings...
  6. To a really good friend: You're heart is so big... I can't help want to you to have the best and to get what you want.. Not just a night of stress relief but many nights (talagang nights, pwede rin days) of satisfaction... To 2011, you're happiness and the end of your frustrations....
  7. To a really old friend (Ampangit parang antanda mo lang...): I really miss you! Even if we don't see each other that much, I am still here for you. Even if you repeatedly fail me and I do you; our worlds are different and I don't agree 100% with your love choices, You can still lean on me and I will always consider you as my friend for life. Much Love!
  8. To a maybe confused person: I am not the person you think you knew. I did the math. Still, it feels good to be appreciated in that way. Let's just not take anything seriously. It's just all for the spirit of fun. Also, you're such a flirt (Ang landi mo)!
  9. To a person who maybe leaving soon: You are postponing your departure for reasons I don't need to express (Habulin mo na kasi... Abutin mo na siya... Ikaw na... Kayo na...Ayieee)... I still find it a delight to have you here. You never fail to give me a smile. I hope to get your wishes or you are left with memories of love or lust to your destination. To you, cheers!
  10. To different groups who ended my year with a BANG: It is a pleasure meeting all of you. You were there when I really needed people to make me not mind the long distance. You were there when I was bored, when I wanted to forget failures and I need people to be just myself. We may not be that close yet but for 2011, To more bonding activities, gatherings, drinking sessions and even physical training..
Much Love to 2010!

and to a better 2011!

As one person mentioned, the next year is greater the present one.
2011>2010 (Nye, yun lang pala yun!)

Three places that we will surely go to in 2011

Come end of March 2011, we have already booked a flight to Malaysia through Air Asia...

First Destination: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
We already went here in 2009 but I want to explore the places we failed to visit at it's fullest....

Second Destination: Singapore

As part of the Malaysia trip, I had booked a flight to Singapore.
I already went to Singapore in 2009 with my goth friend, Ida and Jessie went there in 2006, I think as part of their tour.. But Universal Studios was created in 2010... Time to explore this city again...

I actually detailed out KL-SG trip in my goal blog...

Third Destination: Davao

For the past 2 years, I had been saving up my miles to go there... Now, save up for the actual trip before the end of the year...

Of Alcohol and Drinking Buddies

I'm not really an alcohol drinker. But I am not one to say no to an alcoholic drink on a social gathering.

Yet I just don't like beer... I tastes icky...
Plus it makes my tummy bigger for at least 2 weeks...

I like cocktails, it taste great and the after effects are fun..

They also have lots of fun colors...

I like vodka and brandy, too... It is usually a group activity...

The aftermath is highly heavy though..

I don't really know the names of the things that I drink... I just trust that my friends know this drink and they will not give me a major headache the next day...

One of the cocktail names, I found this year was Weng Weng...
this is made with citrus concentrates, vodka, gin and other alcoholic ingredients

There is the ever famous signature cocktail of Central BBQ, Bad Trip
This gives us a fun buzz and little (at least for me) hangover... Add to that a pitcher is only PhP200...

Also from Central BBQ is Squeeze Me...

This is a frozen cocktaill that will leave you with a blue tongue and pictures you won't remember posing to...
I taste a few more cocktail drinks but these two are the best ones in Central....

Lastly, from my friend's favorite place in the Metro, Il Ponticello's the very expensive and quick to give you a buzz is the Azzuri

This also has a blue color and it knocked me down easily....

To end this random thought, cheers to freaky weekends and impromptu sessions....

Hi! I'm Thirdy and I'm a McDo Sundae Addict

Some people like to smoke and the smoke packs and packs of cigarette. Each pack has a warning yet smoker continue to smoke...

Some people like to drink alcohol and drink alcohol a lot... Bottles says drink moderately... But they still consume bottles and bottles.. Pitchers and pitchers...

As for me, I like to eat McDo Sundae for Dessert or for Snacks.... I crave daily and I give in most of the time... I like the Caramel Flavored one... Then I will put in choco crinkles....

McDo Sundae is full of sugar and fatty vanilla ice cream.... Generally fattening....

So I'm a McDo sundae addict and join me in trying to rid or lessen this addiction...I shall only consume one order per week...For this week, i already consumed this so next week again

Yehey! I now have an ad in my blog

How cool is this?
I now have an ad in my blog....

Visitors, support Nokia and watch Gossip Girl!

Finally, the Christmas Decors are up!

As usual, these holiday season is busy.

Busy in a fun way with reunions, parties and other gatherings to celebrate friendships, family and the season itself.

Aside from that, I have a 9-7 work shift and usual chores to go about..

Yesterday, I mad it a point to clean up the rest of the condo and put up the Christmas Decorations... I was tempted to lie around and do nothing but I said to myself, "Sayang oras, plinano mo yan.. Gawin mo na " (Stop wasting your time. You planned to do this, Do it..)

So while watching my favorite TV shows... I fixed the messy condo and brought out the Christmas Decors...

And it's up...

I have to post pictures soon...

Happy songs

I first head of the happiest/richest people's secrets in the movie The Secret, which is also a best-selling book, and recently I attended a seminar by Philippine's best motivational coach, John Calub which tackled putting the Law of Attraction (the  Secret itself) to use for the fulfillment of your dreams.
So to employ the learnings from this fact, I am trying to think of songs that would generally be for my happiness...

1. Happy Face by Destiny's Child
It is about appreciate the world's beauty...
2. I Gotta a Feeling by Black Eyed Peas
It is about Tonight being a good night...

Random Thoughts: Why I don't blog as much as I did then?

I have random thoughts but I'd rather post them on PEX....

I have interesting random thoughts but I'd rather post them on twitter.

I have big ideas but I rarely post them here... I eventually forget na din...

Ang Sabi ni Jollibee

Nag-text sa aken si Jolibee through his Jollibee Club...

Maulap daw bukas....

Anu ba naman yan Jollibee? Parang unrelated naman yung text mo sa aken...

Manlibre ka na lang ng Jolly Spaghetti...

Are you Rich?

If you want to be rich, the answer is yes!

MySpace

Using the Law of Attraction, whatever you believe the reality is so it shall be...

This universal law is constant and cannot be changed so I would use this to my advantage.

C'mon...

Are you rich?
Yes, I am!
MySpace

Are you successful?

Yes, I am!

Thirdy supports World Vision

I didn't really mind those sudden change of profile pictures to their favorite cartoon in facebook.

Then, last night... I changed my profile picture to my favorite cartoon, Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory because my bestfriend Bianca bugged me about it...

Then as I went to my favorite online hang-out, pinoyexchange... One pexer was advocating the same be done to our avatars. I came to realize that the campaign is pointless....

What is a simple change of profile pictures help the prevention  in child abuse? It would just remind us of our favorite cartoons...

I believe that if you really want to help children is to donate your resources to organizations like Bantay Bata 163 that is especially aimed at helping victims of Children abuse.

But I would be advocating my favorite NGO, World Vision.

If you really want to take action on helping children...

I suggest you give only P1k of your bonus to 2 families so that they can celebrate Christmas
http://www.worldvision.org.ph/nochebuena/

If you want to do it regularly, sponsor a kid for only P600/month so that s/he can have the basic needs of a student and support in community projects.
http://www.worldvision.org.ph/sponsorship/

Putting cartoon avatars are fun but what do they accomplish?

Act now.

    Itemize Success

    I have a full inbox.

It is marked read but in reality, I just opened it to see what it contained. I haven't read it fully yet. I'll just read it later.

One of those email is from internet marketing guru, Jomar Hiario. I had first encountered Jomar in the Money Summit, an event featuring speakers who had told us of different ventures to grow our money. Originally, I wasn't planning to attend this event 'coz I didn't have the budget to do so. But through a lucky streak, I won in a contest and I took a vacation leave to attend the first day of the event and spent my whole Saturday on the event for the rest of it.

So Jomar sent an email and asked the readers to tell him something about our journey to success...

    I'm 24 years old.

I had prepared myself to become a computer programmer, with 4 years of college. But after awhile, I discovered that being employed is not the way to achieving my dreams.

I joined a network marketing company only to find out that it is  not for me and I will only be successful with something I am happy with.

I became a forex trader but lost all of my capital. Good bye, USD 1,000.00. I still haven't given up though. I earned around USD 15.00 yesterday but only through a demo account. I will actively trade when I win 5 times.

I joined seminars only to find out that I want to have more exciting investments but those information are useful though.

I tried to find ways to get more money but they required money, as well... I'm saving up though.

Last month, I came across a webinar by Trace Trajano. I decided to attend the seminar/workshop and decided to be rich through real estate investing. I followed Trace's blogs and groups and I found out about TRQ 2.0 Apprentice Challenge and will be one of team members up for the title. I cannot offer experience or expertise but I will do what is necessary to achieve my dreams... BTW, I have no idea how to pay for the seminar fee and the challenge tuition... Good thing I have a good credit rating... Onwards to incurring "good debt"...

Successes coming soon! (as in soon, by mid-2011)

    AHA!

I took a look back at a post to declare my trying to avoid such food that has been stopping from from being lean...

McDo Sundae is not on the list...

     From: Blogger

    YUM YUM YUM!

    McDo Sundae

A McDo Sundae isn't really much. It is just Vanilla Ice Cream Created in a Ice Cream Machine topped with Caramel or Chocoloate Syrup.

In the Philippines, it only costs PHP 25.

    From: Blogger

    I'm craving this one..

I'm trying to veer away from this kinds of food though... I'm trying to totally get rid of my big belly and man boobs...

    Could I survive this craving?

If I survived 3pm and I haven't gone to McDo and I'm successful at trying to veer away from this sinfully delicious snack...

I am getting stressed at work though and I need "happy food"...

    Subtract and Add

I'm gonna gun to be leaner and lose fat...

My geneology says that fat is difficult to lose on my tummy and chest giving me a belly bulge and man boobs that are not easy to get rid of...

So I'm gonna have to subtract a few things on my Menu....

    SUBTRACT
    1. More than a cup of rice and reduce to 1/2 to 2/3 a cup... It also means I got to get me a bowl to measure this one cup with... I guess I've been more liberal on eating rice ever since I broke my bowl which measures the rice intake.

    2. to my weekend rice cakes... There is this stall near the jeepney stop where I ride to go on my almost weekly swim. Suman, Malagkit, Biko, puto and Kutsinta, yum.... I have to not drop by that stall to have my pinoy food sweet stop... Malagkit goodies are just too much carbs...

    3. Lala natural chocolate - I am so addicted to this one... But it contains a lot of sugar and that doesn't help in gunning to be leaner... I reduced my intake to large bar to the little ones but I am still eating a lot of it.... I have to say good bye to Lala for now and reduce my intake to once a week...
    4. Generally, I have to lessen my carbs and let protein do its work...

    ADD
    1. Cardio on rest days... Instead of having 4 rest days... I have to transform 2 of them to active rest days...
     2. More protein

    Say, good luck...

At the moment, I have nothing to blog about

As of the moment, I have nothing to talk about...

I came from a refreshing weekend and not rushing for everything and slacking off  on a Monday is good. I originally planned a getaway this weekend but I didn't consult my companion (special someone) on the date so I had to move it to next weekend...

But I still went through my supposed-rest day by resting....

fun day! I got to watch the rest of the TV shows I haven't seen yet...

I got to work out, do the grocery and cook spaghetti and meatballs!

and now I'm back at work and I am busy!!!

    Cool eh?

    No baby born from HIV

    This email is from One.org

Dear ONE Member ,Take action now: sign the petition
I was born to an HIV-positive mother, but due to a simple treatment she was lucky enough to receive during delivery, I am HIV-negative.
Not all children are so lucky – over 1,000 babies are born with HIV everyday.
At last week’s UN summit in New York I pushed decision makers to create a plan that would ensure no child is born with HIV after 2015.
Progress was made at the summit, but much more needs to be done.
Please join me by signing up to be part of ONE’s Baby Protest and call for an HIV-free generation here:
    Petition text:
By 2015 we can make sure no child is born with HIV. It all starts with an agreement at the United Nations to combat extreme poverty, with every country doing their bit. Please do yours.
Next week world leaders will meet to invest in the Global Fund – an organisation that saves a staggering 4,000 lives a day and helps prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV.
Together we can achieve a world where no child is born with HIV by 2015.
    Sincerely,
    Florida Mwesiga, ONE Member

Stepping out of my Comfort Zone

I am uncomfortable with doing such a thing but I just signed up for a seminar/workshop with the Real-estate guru, Trace Trajano. I have been a fan of the book and I thought then I would like to put that book into practice... But I guess I was just too afraid to act on it...

'Coz it is not easy and I don't know anyone who will do it with me.

But as I heard once in a networking seminar, Success lies outside your comfort zone.

I am 24 years old and I still have a lot of life to live and a lot of ways to be backed-up... I should take a chance to do something. not to be in my comfort zone. I maybe going somewhere but I am not going to where I wanna be.. I have big dreams and I don't want to achieve them using loans that I pay off till I die...

    Move Forward. Take bigger steps

    Declaration

I am declaring that I shall not push through with any application for another job in the Philippines anymore.

I am tired of going to offices that I don't like their locations. I am comfortable in my PBCOM Tower office.

I am tired of answering questions that I have to memorize from books. In my job, they ask me questions.

I am tired of saying I don't like to do night shift. My job is 9 to 6 with the ocassional OT, a part of being in the IT industry. Why change?

    Ayoko na.. Wala naman pinatutunguhan...

Buti pa mag-intay na lang ako ng offer abroad..

    Target: Malaysia....

    Sana, Malaysia...

    Things I do everyday

    1. Go to work. I need the money to live the lifestyle I have now.
    2. Read a book, a magazine or an online article.
    3. Eat breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks before dinner.
    4. Check my budget notebook.
    5. Say I love you to my honey
    6. Personal stuff: Yell success and release the amazon river things
    7. Check FB
    8. Download a TV show episode, a movie or a TV series
    9. Exercise (goes every other day) More Endorphins=happiness
    10. Be OC on something like schedules, new knowledge, etc

    Find another job or not

Obviously, I still have mixed feeling on whether to stay in my current job or not.

When asked why are you looking for other opportunities?
    I answered...
Honestly, I'm doing okay in my current job. I am doing stuff I haven't done before I am growing and  I have good compensation but this had become my comfort zone and success happens outside your comfort zone.

    Ewan ko ba!

Leaving your comfort zone isn't easy. Doing job interviews require effort and I guess I want to give my efforts elsewhere. It is difficult to prove yourself over over again and the results fall short of what I am getting now...

    Ang hirap!

    On Call

I don't like being on call...

When I leave the office, I want my work to be left at the office, too...

I was filing a leave when I couldn't do anything but be okay with being on call...

I wish being on a rest day would really mean a rest day...

    Hindi na ako newbie blogger

Someone from a pinoy forum made me look at my old entries in this blog.

I look back at my first entry claiming I am a newbie blogger.

This is a blog about becoming an old blogger.

Scratch that... It seems that is an inappropriate term...

I guess I had grown. I'm a different person yet I am still me.

I have a new outlook on life. I realized and learned a lot of things.

And this blog grew with me....

So how do I call myself then a grown blogger?

Random Writing: New Umbrella (Bagong Payong)

    Random Writing:

    • I bought a new umbrella. Took me a while to choose which one to buy one. But I knew I wanted it to automatically open. But all the ones there that automatically open also automatically close so I have to get use to closing my umbrella with a button instead of closing it manually. I didn't care to look at the SM umbrella brands 'coz they may have a 3 month warranty but they only last 3 months. I was looking for the same brand I got a year or so ago 'coz it lasted so long until the handle was broken last month and the button to open the umbrella got lost last weekend as I it accidentally opened in the jeepney. But I couldn't remember the brand. The one that seem like a good brand was costly. So I opted for the first one I saw that is less than P300. Hopefully, it lasts like the one that I just replaced did.
    • I finally got to reading the latest issue of Men's Health. In their alpha male section, a writer was featured. His statements reminded me of my Writers' Guild days. We used to advise our members. Just continue writing. Don't care if it makes sense. Just Write... Aww, WG days... Anyway, going back to some of his thought. He said there is no writer's block if a writer is motivated. I was reminded how I survived going 100m in a pool and an hour of precision cycling. It is keeping your mind to the end goal. I guess I neglect that in my whole life... I don't even know exactly what I want...
