Nag-aaral ka pa?

"Nag-aaral ka pa?"

It's both a compliment and an insult.

Over the past less than few years, I worked as hard as I was allowed to make a name for myself. I still have a long way to go but I could say I did a lot. As a programmer, I had experiences with Java, IDE's that are java based, J2EE, Ireports, JSF, ASP.NET, Oracle 9i and 10, XSL, Sybase, Javascript, etc. I had experienced working 8 hours to 24 hours a day. I go to office at 7, then, 9 now. I owned a titles, Junior Consultant and now, Analyst Programmer.

But I can't really blame them our genes are blessed with looking younger than we are. My **** lola looks 70, my Tita looks like 20, etc. etc.... Kung naka-shorts nga ako, ayaw pa nila maniwala na nag-wowork na ako.. I guess, nag-improve na din... At least di na ako pinagkakamalang high school....

Yehey!

Ganito kasi yun..

Kahapon, I had my orientation as an employee of the company I work in... After 6 months...

So I missed an email from HR, tapos kanina, as I read the tons of emails sent yesterday. I came across a notice of action... So after being frustrated with DB problems, I decided to ask HR what it was.

Guess what?

It's my regularization notice.

Regular na ako!

May healthcare benefits ulet !!! Fun fact pa is that I had my orientation yesterday so alam ko na yung benefits ko..

Giving Credit where credit is due

Okay I wanted to write a long blog about my work.

But I don't have much time as I used to have.

So I'll just write the main point.

I like my work. I've been with current project 6 months now and I want to finish it. Not only do I want to finish it until warranty ah... They want me to finish it too...

I'm doing good, according to them (my superiors). I do my job earlier than the deadline daw. And I appreciate the acknowledgement. And aside from liking the phasing, the organization and management of the tasks I do. I'm working in a relaxed, at least most of the time, intelligent project. I don't find myself doing things that are not fit for my profile.

Eto pa!

My career map (oo I have one) is being formulated with me. I have partners in creating my future. Siyempre, all the work is mine. Career ko yun eh pero I have a guide.

Ayun, it wasn't the playground I left but it's a job and I'm doing fine.

I'm thinking twice nga about pursuing my earlier plans eh.
